BIOGRAPHY:

Alison DeSantis, nee Eastwood, grew up in Verona, NY, a small town known now for its casino. After spending years singing, dancing, acting, and playing the french horn and piano on stages throughout central New York, she attended the University of Rochester, majoring in English and continuing her theatre career on the stage. After graduation, she returned to the university to stage manage The Iliad as a favor to the director and found a new niche in the theatre world. Following the success of stage managing this enormous production, she accepted a position as Assistant Stage Manager at Geva Theatre Center.

Her career at Geva Theatre Center spanned the next three years, during which time she worked in many capacities with numerous world-renowned directors, designers, and actors. Highlights of her time there include stage managing Meet Me Incognito on The Nextstage, acting as Rehearsal Assistant Stage Manager for the East Coast premiere of Alan Ayckbourn's House and Garden, and serving as dresser for the juvenile actors in A Christmas Carol (2002).

Following their marriage in May 2003, Alison and her husband Dennis moved to Berlin, Germany, where she stage managed for two English-speaking theatre companies and was House Manager for Friends of Italian Opera - The English Theatre.

Alison now lives in New York City and works freelance as a Stage Manager. Recent credits include work with Atlantic Theater Company, Manhattan Theatre Club, The Play Company, and Gotham Stage Company.
